Someone Said…

I usually write poems when my feelings are more than I can handle. These are some of my old poems…

This particular one was written in a confused and betrayed state of my mind…

SOMEONE SAID….

Someone said…

There’s time for laughter and time for tears…

So when we walk down the aisle of life

We take back the memories of the years….

True… so true…

But what if the aisle of life

Is halved without a strife?

What if your time for laughter

Yet to come, is in for a slaughter?

What if autumn so suddenly interceeds spring?

When the leaves of memories begin to fall

And you realise there’s no one to answer your call

When life gives itself  less time

And all you can hear is the wind chime…

When your hand reaches out for comfort

And can feel no one when really hurt…

When the belief of your heart is torn

And when you’ve taken all the trouble you could’ve borne…

When no one seems to feel your pain

And you feel there’s nothing you’ve gained…

Then…

You realise how wrong you were

To believe in things and people, that actually never care

To hope for love to come from somewhere

To have some sympathy in the air

At least when life laid itself so bare….

But I think tears will sting the eye

When they bid goodbye….
